I never used microsoft word in high school, but I have used it several times in college. I like it, and there are several useful tools. I do not think there is a huge difference between MS word and Google Docs. Since I am more familiar with Google Docs, I tend to prefer it. However, the more comfortable I get with word the more I am using it.

With the ISTE Standards of Educators, the Designer standard is the most meaningful to me. This standard makes educators design environments and spaces that are leaner friendly. This standard ensures that the educators are able to accommodate any types of students and the way they best learn. It is important for K12 educators to have this since it confirms that educators are able to teach all leaners in the best way possible for their learning.

A digital native is a person who grew up around and in a technological world and are able to use and understand technology well. There are several times that teachers and instructors have asked the class how to use technological tools or fix technological problems. This has not affected my learning negatively since it is normally a simple fix. In the realm of upper education, Canvas has become increasingly popular and instructors are familiar enough that there are few problems. 'Digital immigrants' in the educational world are more unfamiliar than incompetent when it comes to technology. Since tech keeps advancing, there may be new softwares and apps that I am not as familiar with that my students mat be. Yet, since we can evolve with the times, I hope to be caught up with future younger generations.
